Canadians Start Things

Canadians start things. Some of those grow to become known in every part of Canada, and even around the world, while others only ever become known to a handful.

Starting something is special. It is like planting a seed. With care, a little seed can become a massive and beautiful tree. Sometimes your idea will grow to more than you thought possible.

One estimate, from FundSquire, is that Canadians start about 95,000 companies per year, or about 260 per day.

While the name of something is simply that, a representation, the name is incredibly important. The wrong name is easily forgotten, confused, or sets a negative tone.

Your name should be memorable, easily remembered when viewed or heard.

Most of the time it should be positive

Do you want your name to be elegant? To imply strength, or friendliness? To be cute or catchy? Your name should fit your business, organization or project.

If you want to take your idea to Canada and the world, you will need a domain name and website. Yes, I know you could use social media , but being in control of your message is too important to depend on a tech media giant

This blog will mainly deal with how to name your business or organization, and how to create its digital presence.

I will share links and resources that can help you find and secure the right name, along with advice on creating and maintaining a positive and trusted digital presence.

Thanks for reading. In the next post I will tell you a bit more about my interests and background.

Happy New Year.
